St Quentin’s Cathedral

Hasselt’s foremost tourist attractions include St Quentin’s Cathedral in the city centre, the largest Japanese garden in Europe, the National Jenever Museum, the Municipal Fashion Museum, and of course the Grote Markt - the market square - with its many convivial pavement cafés.

Hasselt can easily be reached by the Liège-Hasselt-Antwerp motorway, the main ring road, and various bus and the rail connections. There are plans to connect Maastricht and Hasselt with a light railway. This will be completed in 2021 as part of the Spartacus plan aimed at improving public transport in Belgian Limburg.
